When remodeling our office I came up with a brilliant idea - a hidden pantry !
Behind the bookshelf is our pantry which holds all the cookware items that don't just fit the kitchen shelves and also all extra food staples.

Wood is expensive !
I went to Lumber Liquidators and found that the oak flooring was reasonable. I probably bought 500 feet of 1 x 3 1/4 inch stock. I assembled about 300 pieces to make a coffee table, a diagonal end table to sit between his and hers favorite seats, a second corner end table and an decorative table with offset shelves.

Kitchen Cabinet Remodel
I remodeled our kitchen in a 1992. I didn't want a contractor to have our kitchen out of commission for months. So I built and installed everything myself. (had a little help at installation). I believe we were only without a kitchen for a few days. Using 8 furniture dollies, each day I would roll everything out of my little shop to give me room to work. Then at night, roll everything back inside. When it was done, we had a new gas oven (no more electric) and a dishwasher that was now built in. We upgraded from Formica to tile, which I did also did. In 2009, 17 years later, we upgraded to Cesarstone. In 2016 I wanted to update the kitchen, but didn't want to build new cabinets when they where still in great shape. I wanted to try raised panel doors. Below, top left, is my version of a raised panel door, milling the pieces from simple 1 by 4 Birch stock. Hardest part was matching the new door stain to the original stain of the cabinet frames.
