Continuation of the hand built furniture currently in our home

Jessica's 18 drawer desk was in her room here in San Bruno for many years. In 2012 she rented a truck and took it along with the last of her belongings down to Los Osos. It now sits proudly in her living room alcove.

Jessica's Rocking Horse

I made this rocking horse for Jessica when she was a baby. It is still in the her bedroom. I wonder if this started her love of horses?

As the pictures below show, we bring it out when young children come for a visit.

Welcome to our Home

In 2013 I decided to give our bedroom ceiling a make-over. The acoustic tiles from the 1960's had to go. Hard to explain what I look at every morning when I open my eyes, but from an engineering standpoint, this was one of my greatest accomplishments. All of the pieces were built and painted in the workshop and then assembled like a puzzle. Only I knew where all the pieces went and they fit perfectly.

In 2015, Terrie wanted more organization in her Craft Room. This 9 drawer unit, with shelves and storage on the sides, rolls straight out and back for her convenience.

In looking back over my woodworking history, I see most everything in our home today, I built from scratch or upcycled something from the past. Enjoying 30+ years in  our home in San Bruno, I just about ran out of ideas and space to build more. So my next woodworking trip will be at Nicholas & Rachel's house in Reno. While Nick is an accomplished woodworker himself and has added much to his home, there is one big project awaiting us - the addition of a garage and in-law unit in his backyard that we are just beginning. Stay tuned for more updates on this, scheduled for completion in 2018.

If you know of any woodworking projects, I forgotten please send me an e-mail. I look forward to hearing from you. As Terrie slowly sifts through our approximately 20 years of non-digital photos, we will update you through pictures of any of my projects we have missed!!
